Tawanda R. Rooney, President

Tawanda Rooney is the Founder of Bee Fabulous Moments, Incorporated.  She is the visionary behind providing fabulous moments to women and children through her many random acts of kindness and support for those impacted by domestic violence abuse.  She has become very active in the fight to eradicate, educate, and prevent domestic abuse against women after the brutal murder of her sorority sister, Bronwyn “Bee” Greene Richards.  She currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Prince George’s County Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Domestic Violence Task Force.  Tawanda also has over 20 years of executive leadership experience with the Federal government.  She received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Virginia State University and Master of Business Administration from University of Maryland University College.


Lisa Smith, Vice President

Lisa Holt Smith is the owner of LHS Interior Designs, a home staging and interior decorating business. Her leadership experience will be a great resource as she fulfills the role of Vice President of Bee Fabulous Moments, Inc. In addition, she serves as a Business Manager for Nordstrom/Jo Malone London where she is responsible for creating and executing store events, sales analysis, and business planning. Lisa has over 20 years of sales, retail management experience, as well as, Human Resources experience. She has served as a Community Service Coordinator for the Cub Scouts (Centennial, Co), Volunteers of America Basket of Joy and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She received a Bachelor of Science from Virginia State University. 


Vivian Lynn-Parks, Secretary

Vivian Lynn-Parks is an innovative professional and will bring her administrative skills to her role as Secretary of Bee Fabulous Moments, Incorporated. Vivian has been devoted and involved in social services and educational programs for over a decade and has been instrumental in assisting others with resources to improve their quality of life. Vivian has extensive knowledge in management and technological services. Vivian currently works at a prestigious University in the State of New Jersey as an Associate Director. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She received a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science from Kean University. She is currently a doctoral candidate for Educational Leadership.


Tijuana Adams, Treasurer

Tijuana has extensive financial and budgeting background and will serve as Bee Fabulous Moments, Incorporated Treasurer. Tijuana is very passionate about volunteering her time to numerous non-profit organizations to help children in need: Make-A-Wish Foundation, The Children’s Organ Transplant Association, Stomp Out Sickle Cell program, and Girl Scouts. Tijuana is a business professional, which currently works as an Accountant for the Department of Defense. Tijuana is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Virginia State University and her Master of Business Administration from Strayer University.


Shelane Daniels, Director

Shelane Daniels is a leader who is passionate and committed to the development and mentoring of individuals and giving back to the community.  Shelane volunteers with Helping Hands of Vegas Valley, Las Vegas Rescue Mission, Three Square Food Bank, and Shade Tree. Shelane is involved with STOMP (Standing Together Opposing Misuse of Power), an awareness program that was established by the Las Vegas Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. after the brutal murder of their chapter sorority sister, Bronwyn Greene Richards, to stop domestic violence. Shelane has worked for MGM Resorts International, Inc for over 22 years and currently serves as the Executive Director of Accounting Services in the Finance Shared Service Center. Shelane is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.


Sinthea Myrick Kelly, Director

Sinthea has 38 years of distinguished Federal service and leadership experience in human resources and employee and labor relations. She currently serves as the Director of Administration and Human Resources Division with the US Department of Housing & Urban Development, Office of General Counsel. Sinthea is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated where she has served in leadership positions at the national, regional and local levels. Under her leadership as the chair of Prince George’s County Alumnae Chapter Annual Scholarship Benefit Fashion Show, $780,000 was raised and awarded in scholarships for over 175 high school and college students. Sinthea received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Virginia State University and has taken advanced executive leadership and management training at George Washington University, University of Maryland, Bowie State University, and Brookings Institute.


Nia D. Rooney, Director

Nia is a passionate advocate and volunteer for causes that touches the heart of people. Nia is a natural giver of her time and talent as a cosmetologist, specializing in hair and makeup design. She regularly volunteers at events for domestic violence survivors; scholarship benefits and fashion shows; photo shoots as well as breast cancer activities. Nia recently finished her studies with Bennett Career Institute for her cosmetology licensure. She currently works for the Federal Government. Nia attended Virginia State University and Prince George’s Community College studying Business Administration.
